Thank goodness for a good night's sleep!

Being away from family, the main part of our lives, has been so hard. Thinking about it just makes it worse. Thank goodness coming home is closer than far away.

Had a great birthday evening yesterday :) and then woke up to flowers from my daddy this morning :) best wake up ever!

First birthday of my life I don't get to celebrate with my family :( Really missing them today

What an adventuresome week. We are now moving to Texas for the rest of the summer.
Being in Utah has been a good experience, hard, but really growth inducing.

What is Normal Anymore?

Today I was craving black licorice.
And we never stopped to buy any.
Today I was hungry for Arby's and instead we went to Taco Bell.

Somedays, I just miss having a girl friend who not only understands, but indulges with pleasure my weird cravings & whims. Where we can just sit and talk for hours about the stresses, joys, and business of life.

I miss NORMAL life.

I miss the feel & smell & sound of a baby cuddled in my arms. I miss the influence of a touch on a day when life is just crappy. I miss the familiar sights of the mountains.

You don't realize how homesick you are until you're staring at people as you walk through the store, subconsciously hoping that SOMEWHERE, SOMEONE, will be recognisable, instead of just a mass of strangers.

I miss home.

I need peace. But I can't do what Dad does & run to the mountains because there are none around here :-P

It's official. Sam & I need other people to talk to, after working together all day long, the last thing I want to do is listen to more work talk :-P

Baby Blue

This is a nest Sam found while working the other day. Isn't it such a happy sight? SPRING!!!!

Talk about rain! It's POURING :) Which is awesome, except that we have to work in it, Sam an awful lot more than me.

Our first little strawberry is almost ready! I just want to give it one or two more days to completely ripen. S o excited! :)

I'm in love with the amount of tree-lined streets they have around here :) it's a pain for installing, but they sure do look gorgeous.

Sometimes, knowing someone you love is hurting is harder to bear than your own pain.

Yesterday I had a bit of a breakdown. It's hard all this new stuff. It's not my NORMAL you know? Anyway Sam's been an angel with it all. I really appreciate him

Life is stressful right now. I'm such a perfectionist, it's hard to have moments where I screw up. Missing home terribly :-(

Long day. Did great though. Pulled just under $600 :) and only worked 12 hours. It's kinda crazy :)

Such an amazing day! It was so nice to slow down & rest. Do things to straighten up the house etc. Bought a tomato plant- so excited to see how it does :)

Just watched a squirrel wander around on someone's lawn :) I adore how much wildlife there is around here. So many birds & real white-tailed deer etc. Love it!

Oh dear. The apartment looks like a wreck, but we don't have a free day til Sunday & we get home so late anymore the last thing I want to do is clean :-/
